Our style.......to capture what we see, not change it!
one2one photography aims to be at the forefront of wedding photography, leading not following. As time moves on, we know that the wedding couples that seek us out are wanting something different from the traditional wedding photography that has been accepted for many years. Our clients are those that want the ultimate in documentary photography for their wedding day. We report what we see, we are not at your wedding to change it, improve it, stage it or fictionalize it in anyway.

People are at their best when they are not thinking about photography, we are there to capture the moments not the formal stuff. We use longer 200mm lenses to preclude us from our subjects from being actively aware of what we are doing and to be unseen, unheard and not the objects of their reactions. This style of photography is also known as photojournalism.

Many couples often say to us that their wedding day went by so quickly it was like a blur!!! 'Wedding photojournalism' is about telling the story of your wedding day with pictures.

 

So what's the cost to buy the negatives?
Your digital negatives are included in the prices advertised on this website. We don't want to keep your photographs, let's face it, you will have employed us to capture your photographs, not keep them. All our couples receive every photographic image that we capture and a large folder of edited images, copied to a DVD or CD.

 

A folder of edited images - huh?
one2one photographers don't just shoot weddings, make a few image tweeks and then simply burn all the images to disk and post them out to you. Do photographers honestly do that we hear you wondering, some really do! We don't.

Even all the original digital image files, often as many as 1000+ images, are altered in one way or another using Adobe Lightroom before you receive them. But.....we also select the best photos from your wedding day (you can select them if you like), and then we professionally edit them and give them to you too!

Post production editing is where we produce black & white images, enhance images, crop them and make them perfect. If we shoot a wedding for 7 hours, the editing will take around 21 hours. It's very time consuming but this is where we can make a relatively 'normal' image look like a piece of wedding art.

How many edited images can you expect? Well......we cannot give you an exact number because each wedding is different but as a guide customers can estimate about 25% of the total number of originals will be edited. Therefore if 1000 photos are captured around 250 edited images will be in your edited folder.

So, one2one couples not only receive all of their print ready original images, they also receive a folder of individually edited image files as well.

 

So what's the value of the edited images?
Having the large folder of edited files (i.e. files ready for printing) means you not only are able to print your photos straight away, but with the many readily available online book making sites like blurb.com, you can have fun making your own wedding book (by simply dragging and dropping files from the edited folder, into downloadable free templates).
