one2one
photography was initially established by twin brothers Steve
and Pete May in the UK back in 1997. They started with
a blank sheet of paper and
asked
what was right with the photography industry, but more importantly
what was wrong with it. Also, what was it that wedding
couples wanted from a modern wedding photographer?
You wanted modern, documentary based photographic images and
you also wanted all of YOUR digital negatives
- why not, we would.
This
ethos is why we chose one2one to work with here in Australia.
Furthermore, we also know that
many photographers operate
their
businesses
owning
the
full
copyrights
to YOUR photographs
indefinitely. In fact, many professional photography associations
discourage their members from giving up any form of copyright.
We think that this is fundamentally wrong and provide
all one2one customers with all the photographs that we capture
on their very important day. We provide the
full sized edited digital files without reduction, each image
file often as large as 10-12MB in size.

one2one photography aims to be at the forefront of wedding
photography, leading not following. As time moves on,
we know that the wedding couples that seek us out are wanting
something
different from the traditional wedding photography
that has been accepted for many years.
Our clients are those that want the ultimate in photography
for their wedding day. We
report what we see, we are not at your wedding to change
it,
improve
it,
stage
it
or fictionalize
it in anyway.
People
are at their best when they are not thinking about photography,
we are there to capture the moments not the formal stuff.
We use longer 200mm lenses to preclude us from our subjects
from being actively aware of what we are doing and to be
unseen, unheard and not the objects of their reactions.
This style
of photography is often referred to as wedding photojournalism.
Many
couples often say to us that their wedding day went by so
quickly it was like a blur!!! 'Wedding photojournalism' is
designed to tell the story of your wedding day with pictures.
We painstakingly place every photograph, sometimes as many
1000+ photographs, in time order to re-tell the story and
events that happened throughout your day, some of which you
will have missed.
So
what's the cost to buy the negatives?
Your digital negatives are included in the prices
advertised on this website. We don't want to keep your photographs,
let's face it, you will have employed us to capture your
photographs, not keep them.
All our couples receive every photographic
image that we capture copied to a DVD or CD.
